Biography

Ukrainian coach,football player, winner of the “Golden Ball”, the coach of “Dynamo” Kiev, the coach of the national football team of Ukraine, deputy of Ukraine of III and IV convocations.

Education and Family

Blokhin Oleg was born November 5, 1952 in Kiev. Parents: Vladimir Blokhin – sprinter, WWII veteran, the Interior Ministry officer, was the chief of training and sports department of the republican society “Dynamo”, Adamenko Catherine – was deputy Dean Faculty of Civil Engineering Industrial Engineering Institute of Kiev. Brother – Nikolai Blokhin, died in 2011.

Blokhin Oleg graduated from the four courses of the Faculty of International Relations of Kyiv University of T.Shevchenko and the Kiev State Institute of Physical Culture.
He was married twice. The first wife was known gymnast Irina Deriugina. He has three daughters. Irina – born in 1983 from his first marriage, Anna (2001 born) and Catherine (2002 born).

Player Career

Start a football career Oleg Blokhin had in the year 1969. Oleg Blokhin unique very fast football player. Until 1988 he played on the football team “Dinamo”, it was in the national team of the USSR. Since 1988 was a member of the Austrian team “Vorwärts” throughout the year. Then in 1989-1990 Blokhin Oleg played for Cypriot team “Aris”.
In the USSR team he had 112 matches and scored 42 goals. For the USSR Olympic team – 12 matches. In which he scored 9 goals.
On the field, he played in the striker role.

Eightfold champion of the USSR in 1971, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1985, 1986. It was the USSR Cup in 1974, 1978, 1982, 1985 1987.

The best football player of the USSR, in a survey of “Football” weekly from 1973 to 1975.
Winners Cup UEFA Cup winner in 1975 and 1986, as well as the UEFA Super Cup in 1975. The best footballer in Europe in 1975 – winner of the “Golden Ball”. He received the award “Golden foot” in 2009. He was the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in 1972 and 1976.

Coaching career

Since September 12, 2012 to April 16, 2014, Oleg Blokhin was the head coach of the Kiev club “Dynamo”.
He began coaching career in 1990. And 1993 was the head coach of the club “Olympiacos” Piraeus in Greece. Then, from 1993 to 1994, the club “PAOK” in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 1994 to 1997, the Greek club “Ionics” in the Athenaeum. In 1998-1999. All the same, in Athenia (Greece) coached “AEK”.

In 1999 he became a consultant coach of Odessa “Chernomorets”, where he stayed until 2002. Then became the head coach of the national team of Ukraine. In 2006, under the leadership of Blokhin’s first time in the history of Independence of Ukraine he spoke at the World Cup, and was held in the 1/4 finals of the championship.
After the failure in the Euro 2008 qualifying left the national team of Ukraine and signed a contract with FC “Moskva”. But November 26, 2008 the contract was terminated. In 2009-2010. He was sports director of “Chernomorets”.
Later, from April 21, 2011 was the head coach of the national team of Ukraine on football.

Policy

Oleg Blokhin was a people’s deputy of Ukraine of III convocation from 1998 to 2002 and a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Youth Policy Committee of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. It passed in Parliament by the All-Ukrainian Association “Hromada”. Two years was a member of the faction “Motherland”, the summer of 2001 moved to a fraction “of the Communist Party of Ukraine.”
From 2002 to 2006. He was a people’s deputy of Ukraine of IV convocation and the head of the subcommittee on the Olympic and Paralympic movement and sport of the highest achievements of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Youth Policy, Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. It passed in Parliament in the electoral list of the CPU. Five months passed in a fraction of the Social-Democrats of Ukraine. In 2003 he became a member of the political council of the SDPU.
He ran for deputy in 2006 “NE TAK!” In the list of the opposition bloc, but could not overcome the block 3% barrier.
