Dance biography Maksim Chmerkovskiy begins at the age of four.

Maxim came from Odessa, so his parents sent him there in the dance school. Besides dancing Maxim loved football and basketball classes. The younger brother Maxim was also involved in dancing.

In 1994, the family was forced to emigrate to find work in the United States.

At thirteen Maxim broke his leg when skied, so spent in the hospital for several months. The doctors said that the guy is a limp all his life, but all the same there were experts who undertook a complex operation to equalize the bone structure. They inserted a metal plate, which luckily caught and Chmerkovskiy recovered soon. Although doctors to dance bans, Maxim immediately after the recovery has taken part in a dance contest.
First popular in the creative life of Maksim Chmerkovskiy came after the first broadcast of the American TV show “Dancing with the Stars.” His partner was Melanie Brown. The pair danced two whole season, then won the sixth place. The following season, Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced in a pair with the daughter of Muhammad Ali – Laila. The pair finished third.

Currently, Maksim Chmerkovskiy resides in the state of New Jersey and is the owner of four dance studios. Opening of the first studio took place when Maxim was sixteen years old.

People magazine in 2010 declared Chmerkovskiy eligible bachelor. According to the magazine “OK” guy won the second stage in the beautiful men of the world.

At the time, Maksim Chmerkovskiy has long been engaged with Karina Smirnoff, who also left the Ukraine to live in the United States.

In life, brown-eyed brunette is very shy, he does not like when people “go crazy”, will take it in one of the malls.
Despite the fact that Maxim has spent a long time in America, he still considers himself from Odessa. Advances son pleasing parents, they are very proud of the talented child, and this stimulates him to move on.
